I  चैमुख नाथ मंदिर, पन्ना, मध्यप्रदेश (ब्भ्।न्डन्ज्ञभ्।छ।ज्भ्म्  ज्म्डच्स्म्) चैमुख नाथ वर्तमान में पन्ना जिले की पवई तहसील के ग्राम नचना-कुठार में स्थित हैं जहां सड़क मार्ग से सतना होते हुये नौगांव तथा ग्राम सलैया होकर तथा जबलपुर से मैहर और नौगांव होते हुये सलैया होकर पहुंचा जा सकता है। इतिहास- अभिलेखीय साक्ष्यों के अभाव में चैमुख नाथ मंदिर का निर्माणकाल, कला और स्थापत्य शैली के आधार पर उत्तर गुप्त कालीन लगभग सातवीं सदी ई. का प्रतीत होता है। स्थापत्यकला- चैमुख नाथ मंदिर के गर्भगृह में एक चतुर्मुख शिवलिंग प्रतिष्ठित है, चतुर्मुख में विषपान के समय का रौद्र रूप का, दूसरा अर्द्धनारीश्वर रूप, तीसरा तपस्वी रूप और चैथा विवाह के समय श्रंृगार रूप को दर्शित करता है। शिवलिंग की उंचाई लगभग 5 फीट है और लगभग एक मीटर वर्गाकार है, जो कि एक ही प्रस्तर से बना हुआ है। वर्गाकार गर्भगृह, आच्छादित प्रदक्षिणा पथ, जालीदार खिडकी एवं अलंकृत प्रवेशद्वार युक्त है, जोकि विशेष उल्लेखनीय है। स्थापत्य खंडों एवं प्रतिमाओं पर जटिल अलंकरण गुप्तकाल की कला की विशिष्टता है जो यहां पर विशेष रूच

पार्वती मंदिर, पन्ना, मध्यप्रदेश(च्।त्ट।ज्प्  ज्म्डच्स्म्) पार्वती मंदिर चैमुख नाथ मंदिर के सामने एक ही परिसर में स्थित हैं। उक्त दोनों मंदिर वर्तमान में पन्ना जिले की पवई तहसील के ग्राम नचना-कुठार में स्थित हैं जहां सड़क मार्ग से सतना होते हुये नौगांव तथा ग्राम सलैया होकर तथा जबलपुर से मैहर और नौगांव होते हुये सलैया होकर पहुंचा जा सकता है। इतिहास- पार्वती मंदिर, किसी ज्ञात एवं समर्पणात्मक अभिलेख के अभाव में कला और स्थापत्य की शैलीगत विशेषता के आधार पर गुप्त कालीन(लगभग पांचवी सदी ई.) परिलक्षित होता है। स्थापत्य- मंदिर में एक वर्गाकार गर्भगृह है। मुख्यरूप से गर्भगृह के उपर एक वर्गाकार कक्ष है जो उत्तरभारत के मंदिर, स्थापत्य में पूर्व में सपाट छतों वाले मंदिर के विकसित स्थापत्य की विशेषता के रूप में देखा जाता है। मुख्य विशेषता- पूर्व के सपाट छतांे वाले मंदिरों की निर्माण शैली से भिन्न गर्भगृह के उपर शिखर का क्रमिक विकास और उत्कृष्ट कला मंदिर के प्रवेश द्वारा और प्रतिमाओं से लक्षित होता है। वर्तमान में पार्वती मंदिर के गर्भगृह में किसी देवी देवता की मूर्ति स्थापित नह

SURWAYA TEMPLE              A Small village of Shivpuri tahsil Surwaya is situated near the Jhansi-Shivpuri road, about 22km. to the east of the District headquarters. Near the 18 th km. (at the poiht marked by a signboard)the road branches off towards the north and leads to the archaeological mounments in the Balekikh or inner enclosure of the Surwaya fort, situated on the northern outskirts of the village. The early history of Surwaya is little known. Though at present quite an insignificant village it appears to have been an important town in the mediaeval period. Judging from the style of its exensive ruins these may be assigned to the 10 th to the 16 th century A.D.1 The earlier monuments were, probably erected under the patronage of the Kachchhapaghatas or Kachhavahas of Gwalior and Narwar. A number of inscriptions refer to the Jajapellas of Narwar who succeeded the Kachahhapaghatas. One inscription, dated V.S. 1341 (A.D. 1384),

AVANTISVAMIN TEMPLE AVANTIPUR                         Avantipur (Lat. 33°55' N; Long. 75°00' E) is situated at a distance of 29 km southeast on the Srinagar – Anantnag road located at the foot of one of the spurs of mountain namely Wastarwan.
