जयविलास महल सिंधिया परिवार का आवास स्थान है। इसके 35 कक्षों में जीवाजीराव सिंधिया संग्राहलय है जयविलास महल का स्थापत्य इतालवी शैली का है। जिसमें टसकन और कोरिनथियन वास्तुशैली का मेल हुआ है।
महल के दरबार कक्ष में दो केंद्रीय फानूस लटके हुए हैं जिनका वजन कई टन है और जिन्हें लटकाने के पहले दस हाथियों द्वारा इस छत की मजबूती का परीक्षण कराया गया था। इसकी छत की सुनहली कढ़ाई और यहां के कलात्मक परदे, फारस के शानदार कालीन और फ्रांस और इटली का प्राचीन भव्य फर्नीचर हैं।
मुख्य आकर्षणों में चांदी की एक रेलगाड़ी है जो टेबिल पर ही बनी हुई पटरियों पर घूमते हुए अपने मेहमान अतिथियों को भोजन और पेय सामग्री परोस कर उनका सत्कार किया करती थी वर्तमान में भी चालू हालत में है।
यहीं इटली का बना हुआ कांच का एक भव्य पालना है जिसमें प्रत्येक जन्माष्टमी को बालकृष्ण झूलते थे। इसके अतिरिक्त सिंधिया परिवार के पूर्ववर्ती सदस्यों की अनेक व्यक्तिगत स्मृतियां और सामग्री भी यहां संकलित है। सिंधिया संग्रहालय वस्तुतः राजसी वैभव और गरिमा से ओतप्रोत तत्कालीन भारत की ऐश्वर्यवान संस्कृति और जीवन शैली की अनूठी तस्वीर प्रस्तुत करता है। सिंधिया राज परिवार द्वारा शिकार किए गए जानवरों की ट्राॅफी दर्शकों के लिए रखी गई है।




Jai Vilas Palace and Museum Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh

 Jayavilas Mahal is the residence of the Scindia family. Its 35 rooms have Jeevajirao Scindia Museum. The architecture of the Jayavilas palace is of Italian style. Which combines Tuscan and Corinthian architecture.

 The palace's court room hangs two central chambers weighing several tons and was tested by ten elephants to test the strength of the ceiling before hanging it. Its roof has golden embroidery and artistic curtains, magnificent carpets of Persia and ancient grand furniture of France and Italy.

 Among the main attractions is a silver train which used to entertain its guests by serving food and beverages while walking on the tracks built on the table itself, which is currently in running condition.

 Here is a grand cradle of glass made of Italy in which Balkrishna used to swing on every Janmashtami. Apart from this, many personal memories and material from the erstwhile members of the Scindia family are also compiled here. The Scindia Museum, in fact, presents a unique picture of the glorious culture and lifestyle of erstwhile India, steeped in royal splendor and dignity. The trophy of animals hunted by the Scindia Raj family has been kept for the audience.
